If I Can Show That I Have Sufficient Funds To Support Myself, Will It Be Difficult For Me To Move To The Uk?
I’m an American, and I would like to immigrate to the UK and live the rest of my life there. I have plenty of money to very comfortably support myself until I find a job in my field of expertise, and was wondering how difficult it would be to do so and obtain the necessary papers to live in, say, London. Anybody familiar with immigration laws in the UK?
Before making such a move, it would be a good idea to visit the country first and find out if it is really where you want to live. Find out if any of your friends or their relatives have friends or family there and develop a small circle of friends. You may even decide to take a course or two which would get you into the country on a visa and give you time to scout out the place discreetly. No country wants to know that a foreigner is seeking a job that will displace one of its citizens in these hard economic times .Finally, there are newspapers from around the world. Subscribe to a British newspaper. In that way you would be able to see the job market and search for the jobs for which you qualify while at home. There are immigration lawyers in the United States; and there must be a group that deals with such matters in the UK. Success to you.
